Products and Skincare Advice
Which SkinCeuticals Vitamin C serum is right for me?
SkinCeuticals make several Vitamin C serums for different skin types. C E Ferulic is best for normal, dry and ageing skin. Silymarin CF is formulated specifically for oily and blemish-prone skin. Phloretin CF targets skin discolouration and uneven tone. Serum 10 is ideal if you are new to Vitamin C or have sensitive skin. Not sure? Book a consultation and we will advise you.
What is the difference between ZO Skin Health and SkinCeuticals?
Both are world-class clinical skincare brands with strong scientific credentials. ZO Skin Health, developed by Dr Zein Obagi, is known for its comprehensive approach to skin health — treating, correcting and preventing. SkinCeuticals is renowned for its antioxidant serums and is particularly strong in the areas of Vitamin C, pigmentation and ageing. Many of our clients use products from both brands in their routines.
Can I use retinol if I have sensitive skin?
Yes, with care. We recommend starting with a lower strength retinol such as ZO Skin Health Retinol Skin Brightener 0.5% or SkinCeuticals Retinol 0.3 and introducing it slowly — two to three nights per week to begin with. Always use an SPF the following morning. If you are unsure, book a consultation and we will advise the right approach for your skin.
Do I really need to use SPF every day?
Yes — this is non-negotiable. UV damage is the single biggest cause of premature ageing, pigmentation and uneven skin tone. If you are using any corrective treatment — especially retinol or Vitamin C — daily SPF is essential to protect your results and prevent further damage.
